Perfectionism and Anxiety

You’re about to read the most perfect post EVER!

.

.

.

Just kidding.

Today, I want to talk to you about something that may be holding you back: perfectionism.

We all want to do well but sometimes get caught in the perfectionism trap.

Trying to be the perfect partner, the perfect mom, or perfect at your job can make you feel stressed, anxious, and stuck.

If you notice you often doubt yourself, worry about failing, and never feel like you're "good enough,” you're not alone.

Perfectionism can sneak in with the best intentions and mess things up.

It may seem like you're just aiming for success,

but it can stop you from reaching your goals.

Try this with me.

Imagine doing life without feeling like you must always be perfect.

Picture yourself achieving your goals with confidence, taking risks, and having fun doing it.

When you let go of perfectionism, you'll:

  1. Feel Less Stressed: You won't always have to meet impossible standards. You get to relax and enjoy progress.

  2. Boost Your Confidence: You'll feel better about yourself, knowing you don't have to be flawless because flawless doesn’t exist.

  3. Take More Action: You'll have the guts to chase your goals and try new things.

  4. Have Better Relationships: You'll connect with others as your authentic self, without pretending to be perfect.

I'm here to help you be yourself and love yourself - flaws and all!

On a consultation call, we can figure out how perfectionism affects you, what you'd like to change, and how you can start living a life you love to live.

To take the first step toward less stress and anxiety, schedule your call.

Remember, you don't need to be perfect to have an incredible life.

You are exactly perfect just the way you are right now.

Talk to you soon.

Megan

P.S. Your life beyond stress and anxiety begins with a decision. Decide now to change how you think about how you feel and anxiety loses its power. The question isn't, “Am I ready?” The question is, “Have I decided to be ready?” Ready is just one decision away. Talk to you soon.

P.P.S. Be sure to check out Episode 53 of the More than Anxiety Podcast to hear more about Perfectionism and Anxiety wherever you listen. While you’re there, take a quick minute to leave a review and follow so you don’t miss a beat and help others find the podcast as well. Thanks!
