Elite Athlete Mental Performance Coaching

Master pressure. Build confidence.

Perform at your best when it matters most.

You train your body every day. But who's training your mind?

The difference between good athletes and great athletes isn't physical; it's mental.

Peformance Mindset coach for elite athletes and leaders, Megan Devito

The difference between good athletes and great athletes isn't physical. It's mental.

You can have all the talent in the world, but if you choke under pressure, overthink before competition, or can't trust your training when it matters, you won't reach your potential.

That's exactly what I fix.

I'm Megan Devito, a performance mindset coach and high school swim coach with 15+ years of experience. I teach competitive athletes the mental skills to perform at their best when the stakes are highest.

I've coached competitive swimmers for 15+ years, from age group to high school, and I know exactly what happens mentally at swim meets, sectionals, and championship finals.

If you're dealing with swim meet anxiety, choking at the wall, or performing worse in meets than in practice, I know this world from the inside. And I know how to fix it.

This isn't therapy, it's sports psychology. It's mental performance coaching - designed for athletes who are serious about winning, not just physically, but mentally.

What We Work On Together

Over 12 months, we build the mental skills that separate good athletes from great ones.

Pre-Competition Mental Preparation - Build a pre-competition routine that works every time -  breathwork, visualization techniques for athletes, mental rehearsal, and how to use adrenaline instead of fighting it.

Emotional Regulation Under Pressure

Learn to calm your nervous system in under 90 seconds and stay focused when it matters most, no matter what's happening around you.

Confidence That Isn’t Outcome-Dependent

Build self-trust that doesn't disappear after a bad race or game. Separate your worth from your results and show up with conviction regardless of what happened before.

Bounce back faster than anyone expects.

Bounce back faster than anyone expects. We use Ted Lasso's 'be a goldfish' approach, build a growth mindset after failure, and develop mental toughness to come back stronger after injury or a rough stretch. Resilience is trained, not inherited.

Trust Your Training

Stop thinking and start performing. Learn to get out of your own head, trust the work you've put in, and execute under pressure the way you do in practice.

Managing Comparison & Competition

Stop competing against everyone else and start competing against your own potential. Use competition as motivation, not intimidation.

Focus & Concentration

Stay present — one play, one race, one moment at a time — and refocus quickly after mistakes so nothing

derails you mid-performance.

That's why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all mental training or one-size-fits-all pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I'm in high school. Can I do sessions during the school day?

A: Yes, if your school and/or parents allow it. Many athletes do virtual sessions during study halls, free periods, or lunch. I can also send school absence notes for each session. Let's talk about your schedule and what works during an audit.

Q: I'm in college. How does this work with my training schedule?

A: College athletes often have the most flexible schedules. We'll find a consistent weekly time that doesn't conflict with practice, classes, or competitions.

Q: Do my parents need to be involved?

A: No. This is YOUR coaching. Sessions are confidential. However, if you want your parents involved (or if they're paying), we can include them in progress updates every few months.

Q: What if I can't afford to pay up front?

A: I offer payment plans. We can structure monthly payments that work for your family. Let's talk during your audit.

Q: Can I do this if I'm injured?

A: Absolutely. Mental training during injury is some of the most valuable work you can do. We'll focus on mental resilience, staying confident, and preparing for your comeback.

Q: What sports do you work with?

A: All sports. I coach swimming, but the mental skills are the same whether you're a swimmer, runner, soccer player, basketball player, golfer, gymnast, wrestler, or any other athlete.

Q: Do you work with professional athletes?

A: Yes. The program is the same whether you're in high school, college, or post-collegiate/professional.
