I want to ask you a question: it’s the first thing I’ll ask you when we start working together.
What do you want?
If you’re not sure about what you want, it’s not because you don’t know…
It’s because you’re afraid to believe you can have it.
You might fear your boss, your friends, or maybe even you won’t think you deserve it.
(Who are you to think you should have THAT?!)
Or you might be afraid to ask and actually get what you want because then what?!
(What if I don’t even like it or I’m terrible at it?!)
So instead of spending time thinking about what you want, why you want it, and taking steps toward making it happen.
This is why you're stuck.
You talk yourself out of it with a lot of reasons that
make you feel terrible and trapped.
You stick with what you already know because it’s familiar and safe,
and you give up.
(It’s probably not realistic anyway…)
Friend, I did this for years and it’s the #1 thing that I see my big-time, goal-getter clients show up believing before we start coaching.
But once we start
Walking through the process of slowing down and getting clear about how you want to feel and what you want to believe about yourself.
Learning to use anxious feelings as a guide to help you stop overthinking by getting calm quickly and learning to think on purpose.
And create small, intentional steps toward the next step you need to take to get you to your goal.
You’re going to know what you want, believe you not only deserve it but be on your way to having it, and feel so much less anxious and more confident in every part of your life!
If you don't ask, the answer is always no.
No time.
No way it'll work.
No idea how to start.
Ask for what you want.

P.S. Be sure to check out Episode 86 of the More than Anxiety Podcast to hear from Pam Covarrubius. Pam is an alignment coach, podcaster on Café con Pam, and recovering procrastinator. She shares the process and benefits of EFT, a blend of traditional Chinese medicine, NLP, and energy psychology, to rewire the brain's response to stress and how using advanced EFT in her coaching, she helps her clients heal themselves and previous generations. Pam and I talked about the mental health stigmas that exist in the Latinx community and the pressures of immigrant life and how these shape their views on mental health. I loved talking with her and I know you will be amazed by what Pam does to help her community and clients break generational curses and knock out anxiety and ADHD.
