Why You Should Love Yourself More and How To Do It.

Hey there, Friend,

I’m going to jump right in today with the truth.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

What this means is you were created with intention and purpose.

You’re important, gifted, and unique.

You don’t have to take my word for it.

I took that straight out of the Bible and whether you’re a believer or not,

those are some powerful thoughts to binge on.

Lately though, I’ve heard you talk about feeling worthless.

You’re struggling to see your value, and you’re not sure you’re worth

anyone else’s love, or even your own.

You’ve started to shrink away from what you love to do and even the people you care about.

You’re doing everything for everyone

to feel worthy and wanted.

And in the middle of all that, you’ve stopped being yourself.

You’ve turned into what somebody else wants you to be,

so much so that you have no idea who you really are anymore.

You're depressed and anxious, and you don't know what to do next.

How did you get to this place?

It can be a slippery slope when you want to be generous and helpful.

You have great intentions, but somewhere along the way,

you lost yourself.

You might not remember when but at one point in your life,

you knew you were amazing;

it’s time to bring back that feeling.

Here’s something else I know.

That amazing person inside you is still there,

and she is screaming to come alive!

You can start right now by paying attention to how you feel

when you say yes to something to be nice.

No judging yourself allowed. Just notice.

Paying attention to what feels good, light, open, energizing or any other positive emotion shows you exactly what to say yes to.

The same way saying no can.

What lights you up is always a yes!

You can also start paying attention to what you think or say about yourself.

When you notice something unkind or negative,

ask yourself if that’s really true.

I mean 100% true!

(If you’re still saying yes, talk to me!)

By making tiny changes in what you say to yourself,

you’ll change your beliefs.

Your brain is always changing, it’s your job to make those changes positive.

When you take the time to love yourself, it won’t take long before you notice

you’re less anxious and depressed,

have more self-esteem,

more energy,

more motivation and determination,

more freedom and peace,

and so much more fun.

You are worthy of love from others and from yourself, Friend.

P.S. Your life beyond stress and anxiety begins with a decision. You can decide now to change how your body feels and how you respond when you're anxious, so anxiety loses its power. The question isn't, “Am I ready?” The question is, “Have I decided to be ready?” Ready is just one decision away.

P.P.S. Be sure to check out Episode 65 of the More than Anxiety Podcast to hear more about How To Love Yourself More wherever you listen. While you’re there, take a quick minute to leave a review and follow so you don’t miss a beat and help others find the podcast as well. Thanks!
